So right now I'm attempting to type one handed with the other submerged in a bowl of iced water. Pro tip: 270 degrees is pretty freaking hot, especially when it's directly on your knuckles. The price we pay for beauty right? I feel bad for the poor strands of hair sizzling away all the time.
I worked on a fun little TFP with the ever fabulous miss Emma Jayne Bell of Victoria's Models, and Doug Hall from Studio Vita! We found a simply amazing inspiration image on Pinterest (yeah, I'm on there way too much) and just had to put our own spin on it.
The theme was hair. Big hair. The kind of hair that could have a little baby bird lost somewhere in it. Big. Freaking. Hair. It was incredibly experimental for me because I have never created a hairstyle with such volume and contrasting shapes. I loved making it! I used a new technique for the curls which worked incredibly well, using a curling wand and a weird lil wrist motion to create a combination spiral/ribbon curl which brushes out into an almost finger wave like pattern. It makes a gorgeous curl, but is very very easy to get burned doing since your hand must stay so close to the barrel of the iron. So, I have a nearly second degree burn on my hand from misjudging not once, or twice, but three separate times all on the same part of my hand. Ow. But it was seriously worth it for the quality of the images that came out of this shoot.
I don't have all the pictures back yet, but for now have a little behind the scenes picture to keep you sated until Doug releases the rest of the pictures. Ciao for now bellas!

And just to be clear - I'm 5'8". Emma's just even taller and wearing heels. Freaking models right?
